Nancy Anastopoulou was born and works on the island of Samos, Greece.
She attended studies in the Building Industry Division, is a member of the UNESCO Group for Piraeus and Islands and a founding member of the Active Citizens Society of Samos.
She has been painting systematically since 1990. In 1993 she was awarded the first prize by the Union of Greek Writers for the project"The destruction of Kalavrita".
She selects her subjects from nature and the elements around her, depending on the mood or references they inspire. She works with mixed media, oils and watercolors.
Of late she engages in the creation of jewellery and small sculpture made of wool silk and silver.
